Termination Date

The termination date refers to the specific day a contract terminates. After this date, the contractual obligations of the parties cease, unless otherwise agreed upon (such as for warranties or liabilities that may survive the termination).

Examples of termination dates

In a supplier agreement, the termination date could be December 31, 2025, marking the end of all services and obligations between the supplier and the client.

A consulting contract with a six-month duration might specify May 15, 2024, as the termination date, at which point all consulting services must stop.
